5G services officially launches in India on October 1st 2022. IMC 2022 is Asia’s largest technology exhibition. PM Narendra Modi announce the launch of 5G network in India at Indian Mobile Congress, the National Broadband Mission’s official Twitter account tweeted on Saturday.
5G is a new generation of wireless technology that offers faster speeds and better quality than 4G. 5G networks are also expected to reduce congestion on existing networks and enable new services such as self-driving cars.
All three major telecom operators like Jio, Airtel, and Vi (Vodafone Idea), have already set up 5G trial sites in these cities. These cities include Delhi, Gurugram, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Jamnagar, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Pune, and Gandhi Nagar.
