Xiaomi announced MIUI13 at the end of December 2021. MIUI14 will launch alongside the Xiaomi 13 series in the coming weeks.
Today the head of MIUI officially announced the launching of his MIUI14. He said a few things about Xiaomi’s upcoming OS.
Jin Fan is a product director at Xiaomi. In his latest post on Weibo, he writes that his team has been working hard on MIUI14 for the past year. The next generation of Xiaomi mobile and its software will be launching soon in coming weeks.
Interestingly, Jin Fan says his team’s main goal is to make MIUI14 the most streamlined and lightweight. MIUI14 will be based on the underlying development of Android 13, according to the reports.
Also, most importantly, Xiaomi is the only major Chinese smartphone brand lacking in software updates. While Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, and Realme have delivered Android 13 update to multiple devices.
