Karim Benzema win Ballon d’Or 2022

Karim Benzema, Real Madrid and France footballer won the Ballon d’Or 2022 award. He is the second Frenchman after Zinedine Zidane did in 1998.

Incredible 2021-22 European football season for Karim Benzema, received the Ballon d’Or award of season 2022 on Monday in Paris.

For the first time in the Ballon d’Or award’s history, award based on the performance of the past season.

Benzema played 46 matches & scored 44 goals, including 15 in Champions League. Benzema led Madrid to the Champions League and La Liga titles last season.

Karim Benzema said, “I had two role models in my life, Zidane and Ronaldo as well. I always had this dream in my mind that everything’s possible. There was a difficult period where I wasn’t in the French team, but I worked hard and never gave up, kept my head down and enjoyed playing football.”
