World Mental Health Day is observed on October 10 every year. This day, each October, thousands of supporters come to celebrate this annual awareness program. World Mental Health Day aims at increasing awareness about the brain wellness. The day was first observed by WHO for Mental Health in 1992.
The aim behind is to raise awareness of mental health issues and to prepare efforts in support of mental health. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, an estimated one in eight people globally were living with a mental disorder issue. After the pandemic, it causes a global crisis for mental health.
It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation organization, with members and contacts in more than 150 countries.
