Ayurveda is an ancient health care tradition that originated in India for at least 5,000 years. The word comes from the Sanskrit terms ayur (life) and veda (knowledge).
Ayurvedic medicine, was documented in the sacred historical texts “Vedas” many centuries ago. Ayurveda has evolved over the years. Now it is integrated with other traditional practices, including yoga.
According to Ayurvedic principles, everyone has a specific prakruti. It determines his/her character. And it is categorized into 3 groups;
1. Vata : Thin and slim figured persons. It is associated with air and space. Vata energy includes blood circulation and breathing. Creative and Thinker Peoples belong to this category.
2. Pitta : People of medium build and sharp features. Pitta energy include fire and is control the digestive and hormone systems. Intelligent peoples belong to this category.
3. Kapha : People with a fit body, well-developed body and also clam nature. Kapha energy includes the earth and water.
