iOS 16.4 update: How to install on your iPhone?

Apple has released the stable iOS 16.4 update for all eligible iPhones. This update fixes some bugs and launches minor new features.

iOS 16.4 Update

Apple includes Voice Isolation for cellular calls which should offer improved ambient noise reduction in 16.4 update. This feature was previously available on FaceTime and other third-party VoIP call apps.

With this update, iPhone users can receive notifications on web apps from Safari. These notifications also include a badge count on the home screen.

Also, the new iOS release including new emojis like hand gestures, pink heart, jellyfish, and a Wi-Fi symbol.

iOS 16.4 update changelog:

  • 21 new emoji including animals, hand gestures, and more are now available in the emoji keyboard
  • Notifications for web apps added to the Home Screen
  • Voice Isolation for cellular calls which offers improved ambient noise
  • VoiceOver support for maps in the Weather app
  • Crash Detection on several iPhone models, including the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
  • Detect duplicate photos and videos on the iCloud shared photo library.

iOS16.4 is available to install on iPhone 8 and later starting today. Users can install these updates via a Wi-Fi network, or they can download and install them using the 5G network.

Download and Install iOS 16.4

To download and install iOS16.4, go to Settings > General > Software Update and enable automatic updates. Then, click on “Install Now” to update your iPhone to iOS 16.4. Make sure your iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network or 5G network to quickly download it.

While installing update your iPhone should have at least 50% battery before starting the software update process.
